Welcome to my Beautiful New Blog!

Hello and welcome to my new WIX blog and website! If things look different, it's because they are! I am so much happier here! Important lesson: be true to yourself. If you are a designer, you will probably love WIX, because it functions like a page layout program. It is very intuitive and design friendly. No coding, and you can see what a page will look like. What a novel idea!

My old blog was running on Wordpress and it was just SO much of a hassle! The hosting site made a bad experience even worse with very slow servers. I honestly felt like I was working using dial-up. Adding a simple photo gallery was way too complicated. Not cool for an image heavy site. I was also always "fixing" something that had broken. I decided that I wanted to put my efforts into writing, creating, and sharing art, so I made the switch!

I am working on my store, but the page is not visible yet even though you can see a shopping cart icon in the top right corner. I wanted to get the new site up and running as soon as possible. I have to get up to speed on how to set up the store, add products, and set up payment options. Whew!

One important item to note. I transferred my old blog posts, but unfortunately the comments did not transfer as well. If you commented on previous posts, I didn't delete them, but they are gone. The good news it, it is now much easier to comment and "heart" (like) a post. I hope this will encourage a lot more friendly engagement. I'm so glad you are here!
