Grace Falls — A Song About Redeeming Love

Black and white nature photo at The Bog Garden.

Grace wakes up alone again

She wonders just how long it’s been

Since she dared to hope things would change

She stumbles down the darkened hall

Illuminates the bathroom wall

And stares into the mirror at her face

It seems just too much to hope

Her life would ever have the scope

To matter to a God so far away

Chorus

Grace falls — into despair again

Grace falls — to an old familiar friend

But what she doesn’t know

Is behind the scenes He loves her so

Grace drives to her job again

That perfect prison made by man

And she wonders how she’ll make it through the day

There has to be more to this life

Than constant pain and constant strife

She doesn’t see the meaning of it all

She’s tired of living empty days

She doesn’t have the strength to praise

She needs to have a reason to believe

Chorus

Grace falls — into despair again

Grace falls — to an old familiar friend

But what she doesn’t know

Is behind the scenes He loves her so

Grace returns home once more

And tries hard to ignore

The emptiness that echos through the night

Anxiety sneaks up on her

Clarity becomes a blur

So she prays for the strength to face her fears.

Panic slowly starts to ease

As she rises from her knees

She feels the hand of God reach out to her

Chorus

Grace falls—into His open arms

Grace falls — safe from earthly harm

And though the world remains

His love is enough to break her chains

I fall — into His open arms

I fall — safe from earthly harm

And though the world remains

His love is enough to break my chains

Yes, love is enough to break your chains
